Smoke free
If you smoke, we can give you tips on minimising the risks to your child. You can help to protect your baby or child by keeping their playing, sleeping and eating areas completely smoke free. Want to give up? We'll support you all the way with advice, encouragement and help.
Safe at home
You can buy safety items at reduced prices from us. These include smoke alarms, reins/harnesses, socket covers, door jammers, thermometers (room, bath and medical), and drawer catchers. We can also order larger items for you, such as safety gates and fire guards.
We'll give you advice about safety at home, whether you just want to make your home safe or if you're facing more serious problems, such as domestic violence or if you fear your child is at risk.
Safe out and about
You can get free membership to Southway Resource Centre through Sure Start. They are able to loan car seats and prams for a small charge.
We can give you top tips on staying safe while you are out and about.
